At risk: Group quarters population

The 25,000 people who live in group quarters settings in Vermont are at higher risk of contagious illness.  About 67% of Vermont's group quarters residents live in college or university student housing.  The remainder live in nursing facilities, correctional facilities and other types of group quarters.  An estimated 4,761 group quarters Vermont residents are aged 55 or older.
